'Halo 5: Guardians' News: Game Tops the UK Charts in Terms of Sales

"Halo 5: Guardians," the first-person shooter game from 343 Industries and published by Microsoft Studios for the Xbox One exclusively, has just been released and in its first week it has already conquered sales.

According to Eurogamer, Halo 5: Guardians has grabbed the number one spot in UK all-format charts within the first week following its release. Moreover, "Halo 5" reportedly earned 50 percent more sales versus "Assassin's Creed Syndicate" that was launched for days ahead in multi-platforms including PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows.

According to Eurogamer, UK company Chart-Track statistics did not include sale of digital copies or sale from downloads and neither does it say anything about "Halo 5's" performance in contrast to the other titles in the "Halo" series. However, one can safely assume that "Halo 5" only falls second to "Halo 4" since the latter reportedly has a larger consumer base when it was launched in 2012 for Xbox 360. But statistics show that Halo 5 outperforms first week sales record of last year's Halo: Master Chief Collection by 50 percent.

According to PlayStation Lifestyle, for the week ending Oct 31, 2015 "Assassin's Creed Syndicate" falls second to "Halo 5". It is followed by FIFA 16 and WWE 2K16. Surprisingly the multi-platform Minecraft: Story Mode comes 5th on the list with "Grand Theft Auto V" falling behind the blocky game. In descending order, the other games on the list are Uncharted: The "Nathan Drake Collection at number seven", "Watch Dogs" at number eight and "LEGO Dimensions" and "LEGO Jurassic World" at nine and ten repectively. Neither "Call of Duty Ghosts" or "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" made it to the top ten.

"Call of Duty Black Ops 3" will be coming out on Nov. 6 followed by Fallout 4 on Nov 10. Will any of this two games snatch the number one spot from "Halo 5: Guardians"
