Tiger Woods Former Caddy Opens Up About The Golfer In His Tell-All Book

Tiger Woods' former caddy Steve Williams revealed how it was to be working with the famous golfer. Williams was the long-time caddy of Woods and he just released a bombshell through his tell-all book about his 13 years friendship and working relationship with the golfer.

According to Radar Online, Woods reputation was tarnished after his infidelities were revealed. It was in 2009 when the news came out and since then he was branded as "serial cheater."

Being Woods' caddy, Williams get to spend a lot of time with the golfer. However, when the news came out about Woods infidelities to his then wife Elin Nordegren, Williams was also shocked about it.

In spite of what news came out, Williams remained a friend to Woods as he said, "(Tiger) was still a friend in trouble and I was going to stick by him. I did that even though people were accusing me of being an enabler, an accomplice, saying I was lying when I stated clearly that I knew nothing about this."

Fox Sports reported that last Sunday, a New Zealand reporter published a chapter of Williams tell-all book entitled "Out of the Rough." In his book, he revealed that he heard nothing from Woods for four months since the popular golfer's marriage, career and reputation fell apart.

William revealed how his life became "absolutely miserable" since the news about Woods extramarital affairs came out. It was difficult for Williams since a lot of the neighbors speculated that he knew about Woods' behavior which he was completely unaware of.

Williams wrote, "People in my local community would front up to me at the shops and call me a liar to my face, and ask 'what are you doing with him?'"

It was reported that Williams kept on asking Woods' management to give out a statement clearing his involvement to the "lurid news" but the management refused his request. "They simply wouldn't do it because there were others in his group who knew exactly what was going on and management felt they couldn't single out one person as innocent. Angry, frustrated and hung out to dry, I was also in limbo about when I would next work," Williams wrote.

Williams also revealed that he did not think of quitting as Tiger's caddy since he felt "incredibly loyal" to him and that "this was the toughest time of his life and I wasn't going to ditch him."

It was in March 23, 2010 that Tiger contacted Williams. "He had already sent me an apologetic email when he was in rehab. It was heartfelt and meaningful; he was open, honest and remorseful and it reinforced my thinking that because I was so straight up and had such strong values, he felt he couldn't tell me what was going on with his affairs."

According to Huffington Post, Williams also wrote in his book about confronting Woods about his affairs, bad temper and most of all, "his need to "show me - and the game of golf - more respect."

Williams shared that, "One thing that really pissed me off was how he would flippantly toss a club in the general direction of the bag, expecting me to go over and pick it up," he added, "I felt uneasy about bending down to pick up his discarded club - it was like I was his slave."

Woods and Williams working relationship ended in 2011 when Tiger fired him and said it was "time for a change."
