Anna Duggar Divorce: Jim Bob Duggar Buys New Mansion To Make Anna Stay with Josh, Anna Rejects Offer

Rumors indicate that Anna Duggar will be receiving a mini-mansion from Jim Bob Duggar in exchange of not filing a divorce for Josh Duggar, who was involved in a series of sexual-related issues.

Since Jim Bob runs a real estate business, it is not hard for him to give a property as a gift. He already gifted Jill with a mini-mansion after her marriage while Jessa is recently living in the house where Anna and Josh lived before they left for Washington, D.C. in 2013.

The "beautiful brick home" that will be given to the couple is just located near the Duggar family compound in Springdale, Arkansas, wherein Jim Bob spent $345,000 for it, OK! Magazine reported.

Anna and Josh will be living in the house after Josh is released from the faith-based treatment facility he is in. Hence, Anna and the kids will not be able to live in the luxurious home without Josh. The Duggars also do not want Anna to live alone with the kids in the house due to patriarchal religious views, which means that she really need to wait for Josh to come back who is reported to leave rehab on February next year, In Touch weekly said in a print edition.

Aside from that, the house was still occupied by missionaries Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard during their lengthy visit in the area. Since Anna doesn't have a job and has a very limited education, it is reported that it is unlikely that she will leave Josh because she relies on him to finance the family especially the kids.

“Nothing is set in stone concerning the new house yet but it’s clear the home is being dangled in front of Anna so she doesn’t pull the plug on her marriage,” a source revealed.

New reports revealed that Anna rejected the offer of Jim Bob, who is desperate to keep the family together by giving her the opportunity to live in a 3,800 square foot mansion. But Anna said that what she needs is real healing and that she cannot just put up a happy-family show.

“A big fancy house is not that impressive, and [Anna] says she simply can’t be bought. Anna has a new sense of self and isn’t going to put on the happy family show just to please her in-laws. She feels like they are more concerned with image than with the reality of the situation,” a source said according to Hollywood Life.

“She is considering her options. She’s more concerned with real healing than merely cleaning up the image to make the Duggar in-laws happy and TV-presentable again,” the source added.
