Alex Rodriguez Buys Miami Condo for $2.1 Million

The New York Yankees' third baseman Alex Rodriguez may have just sold off his elaborate ocean-front mansion in Miami for $30 million, but he is clearly in love with the beachside area.

According to TMZ, Rodriguez has reportedly purchased a smaller, much modest condo just near his former manse for about $2.1 million.

The purchase was made sometime in August. The residence is a 1725 square feet apartment, comprising of three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Though A-Rod has lost some square feet, he hasn't lost the style yet. TMZ has pictures of the home that show plush interiors.

The residence has carpeted hardwood floors, tray and beamed ceilings, floor-to-ceiling glass windows with ample views of the ocean and a balcony to enjoy the breeze. Building amenities include a clear pool, ample recreation space and parking, security and concierge services.

This is definitely a major downgrade from the previous mansion. The Biscayne Bay home that recently sold in May has beautiful ocean views. The 19,861 square feet property consists of nine bedrooms and 11 baths. The residence has a huge theater, spacious living and game rooms along with an eat-in kitchen.

A-Rod was away from the fields for a while as he was recovering from a major arm and hip injury. However, he is back with a bang!

According to ESPN:

Alex Rodriguez displaced Lou Gehrig as Major League Baseball's career leader in grand slams Friday night with a dramatic home run that gave the Yankees a much-needed 5-1 victory over the San Francisco Giants at Yankee Stadium.
