Jonathan Adler’s New Web Series “Inspiration Point” Motivates, Educates and Uplifts (VIDEO)

Everyone loves Jonathan Adler. He is a lot of things: an author, a potter, a designer (now even accessories!) and a very lively person. People have always wondered what gives Adler the spark, what is his source of inspiration. Adler's brand new weekly web series 'Inspiration Point', answers all the public curiosity.

The series is being produced by AOL Inc and all its episodes will be available on the official page. Each week, Adler will share his experiences and introduce viewers to his sources of inspiration. Every episode will see Adler's perspectives on creativity, style, his life and how he induces joy in it.

In an interview with Elle on the series, Adler talks about why he agreed to do the show and what viewers can expect from it. Excerpts from the interview below:

My entire career-which started with my pottery teacher in college telling me I didn't have what takes to be a potter-has been an improbable adventure. I wanted to show people what can happen when you have a naysayer to rebel against.

You'll laugh, you'll cry, and-hopefully-you'll see how to channel your ideas into one place to create something that makes you happy. The series follows the journey from inspiration-which can be an amazing Brâncuși sculpture or the color of my Norwich Terrier, Liberace, or some Ke$ha lyrics-to an actual product. My job is to take all my ideas and bring them together in one world. My inspiration is to make cool shit.

The first episode of the series debuted August 16. The episode shows Adler talking about his biggest and most important inspiration of life, his husband, Simon Doonan. Check out the first episode "Love and Chakra Tingling Sh*t" below:

Adler and Doonan live in a plush home on Shelter Island, New York which is done up in perfect "Adler-style". Doonan has also contributed largely to the decor. The couple recently flaunted their abode in the lifestyle magazine "Hamptons". Their's was the cover story for the publication that is celebrating 35 years in August, reports the Huffington Post.
