‘Vikings’ Season 4 Premiere Date & Spoilers: King Ragnar’s Death to Happen Soon as Travis Fimmel’s Exit is Confirmed? Actor to Focus on ‘Warcraft’ Movie

History Channel's "Vikings" is set to return for its Season 4 next year, but as early as now, there have been speculations that the show's protagonist, King Ragnar, played by Travis Fimmel, will soon his face death. This is because the character sustained serious injuries in Season 3, and various forces continued to threaten his kingdom. New reports also claim that Fimmel will soon be busy with his new "Warcraft" movie, which won't give him time to film for the TV show next season.

According to Vine Report, the possibility of Fimmel exiting the show in Season 4 was actually teased by showrunner Michael Hirst in his previous interview with The Hollywood Reporter. Hirst said that he actually imagines "Vikings" without King Ragnar.

"I've always seen Vikings without Ragnar. I thought it was very important when I started thinking about this whole thing that Ragnar had many sons and some of his sons became more famous than he was. So I can perfectly well envision a world without Ragnar and further adventures for the sons. Absolutely. That's something I really, really want to do," Hirst told The Hollywood Reporter.

Meanwhile, the new teaser video for "Vikings" Season 4, posted on the show's official Facebook page, also teased the show's shift/focus from Ragnar to his sons. It had been reported many times that one of Ragnar's sons will soon take over the kingdom, with Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) as the strongest contender and considered the rightful heir for the throne.

In the sneak peek video, a voiceover can be heard in the background, saying, "What profit has a man under of all his labor, which he taketh under the sun? One generation passeth away and one generation comes." The video also teases Ragnar's revenge on his brother Rollo (Clive Standen), who betrayed him in Season 3.

"Vikings" Season 4 is set to air sometime in 2016.
