One of the biggest bands is making a comeback. As per The Guardian, Jamie Hewlett, the band's co-creator together with Damon Albarn officially confirmed the band's comeback on Instagram. He then posted two of the band's members in which he captioned: "Yes. Gorillaz returns."
During his interview, Albarn informed NME last April that the he already has enough materials for the release of a new "Gorillaz" album. This would be the first album that would be released since "The Fall," which was their download giveaway last 2011.
During one of his interviews in DIY, the collaborator Jamie Hewlett informed the news website that the album recording sessions is on the way. As per Your EDM, Hewlett stated that he's "shutting himself away" to focus on working on the album. He then stated:
"I'm working on it at the moment, and it's going very well," he added. "I'm very excited. I don't want to say too much about it, but I'm at that phase of experimentation. What I try not to do when I'm working in this creative period, the cooking of the mess, is go to other peoples' exhibitions and look at other peoples' work. I close my eyes, and don't want to know what anyone else is doing. Doing that has kind of ruined the creative process for me in the past, and I don't want to let that happen again."
During an interview with Sydney Morning Herald, Damon Albarn shared some insights in regards to "Blur."
"I would imagine there's some kind of future, but at the moment there's no time for the future - only the present, Who knows? I'm reluctant to say anything about Blur, because if I do, it just gets taken out of context and then I'm accused of being a wind-up."
"Blur" is currently working on their upcoming album which is set to hit the airwaves by 2016. No specific release date was announced as on the moment.
