Commercial Association of Realtors Wisconsin has Named the Awardees for the 2015 Deal of the Year

  The Commercial Association of Realtors Wisconsin have given out the names of the awardees to receive recognition for the deals that defined the commercial brokerage community for the more than 600-member organization over the last 12 months. The awarding ceremony was held during the annual Deal of the Year awards last Wednesday at The Pfister Hotel.

            The CARW Deal of the Year recognitions were divide in six categories namely: Bank Loan, Development Industrial, Investment, Office and Retail.

            According to CARW president and CEO Tracy Johnson, the Retail and Bank Loans categories were added this year to recognize the breadth and scope of work of the brokerage industry.

            "We received nominations from throughout the state including some massive transactions and developments," said Johnson "There was a spike in submissions involving transactions in Downtown Milwaukee, supporting the notion that there is a real draw to the CBD and an urban commercial setting."

            According to the report of Biz Times, here are the list of the companies that were given recognition in their specific category.

  • Bank Loan: General Capital Shorewood Grocery, Parking & Apartments, Associated Bank, The Private Bank, Bank Mutual
  • Development:   401 West Michigan, Bill Bonifas; CBRE, Inc.
  • Industrial:  Briggs and Stratton, Samuel Dickman, SIOR; The Dickman Company Inc.
  • Investment: Sale of 250 E. Wisconsin, Curt Smith, John Mazza and Bill Bonifas; CBRE, Inc
  • Office:  Empower Retirement / Chase Robert Flood, SIOR and Patti Stevens; RFP Commercial and Andrew Jensen, SIOR; Cushman & Wakefield
  • Retail: Costco-White Stone Station - Menomonee Falls Peter Glaser; CBRE, Inc.

The Commercial Association of Real Estate Wisconsin have also given honors to certain individuals for their exemplary work in commercial real estate.

            Stephen B. Provancher, NAI MLG Commercial, was awarded as Realtor of the Year.

            Tim Casey, Community Development Department at the City of Brookfield, has been honored as Friend of CARW.

            Dick Lincoln, retired senior vice president, Mandel Group, Inc, is given the award as the Political Leader of the Year.
