Celebrity Real Estate: Packers Linebacker Julius Peppers Selling Chicago-Area Home

Linebacker Julius Peppers of the Green Bay Packers is bidding goodbye to his modern home in Highland Park near Chicago. The property of the eight-time Pro Bowler is listed on the market for $2.5 million.

According to Realtor, the 8,000-square-foot home of Julius Peppers features cherry wood flooring, dark accents, and nice architectural curves. One of the five bedrooms of the house can be turned into a private exercise suite.

The ornately carved accent wall of the dining room stands out in contrast among the room's dark walls and dark flooring. The kitchen features black countertops and swooping textured walls.

Peppers, who has also been a three-time All Pro, spent three seasons with the Chicago Bears after starring on defense for years for the Carolina Panthers.

In 2014, he made NFL history by becoming the first player to reach the career milestone of 100 sacks and 10 interceptions.

NFL Linebacker Julius Peppers has traded his Chicago Bears jersey last year for the green and gold of the Green Bay Packers. Now he is trading his home in High Park near Chicago and has listed it on the market for $2.5 million.

The 8,000-square-foot home of Peppers sits near Lake Michigan and is about 45 minutes north of downtown Chicago. The home has five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, four fireplaces, and a garage for three vehicles.

Biz Journals said that the property in East Highland Park is beautifully located at the end of a suburban street, with a tranquil setting among a landscape of mature trees.

The main level of the house has a nice feature of windows where you can have a great view of the picturesque landscape that surrounds the property. The lower level of the property includes an entertainment and recreational room with a full bar.

Peppers purchased the home in 2010 for $1.8 million from Chicago Bulls guard B.J. Armstrong, who paid $1.6 million for the home in the year that it was built.
