‘America’s Next Top Model’ Nyle DiMarco Comes Out As Sexually Fluid

Nyle DiMarco, the first ever deaf contestant to join "America's Next Top Model," has revealed his sexual preference after a fan asked him on Twitter.

DiMarco was asked by Kike Garces on Twitter, "Nyle you have so much gays fans!, tell us, boys or girls?" To which he responded "fluid" together with a link of an article from Everydayfeminism.com.

According to the "How Fluid Sexuality Fits into the LGBTQIA+ Spectrum" article from the magazine, "being sexually fluid doesn't mean a person is confused." Instead, they are "either always attracted to more than one gender or feel that their attraction may shift depending on factors like time, intimacy with certain partners, changes in hormone levels, and so forth."

Fans on Twitter, particularly members of LGBT community, were happy for Nyle. One fan tweeted, "Thanks for being you! Wishing you continued good luck!" Another tweet reads, "Welcome to the family! We appreciate you more than you know." One fan said, "As a member of the LGBT community I am proud that you are part of our family! You are a beautiful man inside and out."

Nyle, an aspiring model from New York, started modelling just before joining ANTM Cycle 22. His deafness has not become a hindrance for him. In fact, he thinks of it as a great asset. The ANTM hunk told People, "I strongly believe that being Deaf gives me a huge advantage because my native language, American Sign Language, requires the use of facial expressions and body language expressions. It helps to bring out stories when I am modeling for a photo."

Nyle is also an actor. He plays Garrett in ABC's "Switched at Birth." He also had a main role in "In the Can," an independent film under ASL Films production. He plans to continue acting, as per his official website.
