‘Project Cars’ Car List: Game Gets New Cars & Tracks; Developer Working on 'Project Cars 2'

Game developer Slightly Mad Studios has released a new expansion called "'Aston Martin Track Expansion" for the "Project Cars" video game. The game's new expansion features a new track called Mojave and three legendary Aston Martin cars, a report from IGN said on Thursday.

"The cars include the 1959 Aston Martin DBR1 (which finished 1-2 at the 1959 24 Hours of Le Mans), the 2009 Aston Martin DBR1-2 (built to celebrate the 40-year anniversary of the 1959 1-2 victory, it won the 2009 Le Mans Series Championships and finished on the podium in every race), and the 2014 Aston Martin Vantage GTE (the automaker's current contender in GTE sports car racing)," the report said.

"Mojave is a private testing ground secluded in the wilderness of Nevada. The Mojave circuit comprises of five race layouts and a special open Test Track layout allowing players to freely practice and test their car's performance/handling via Banked Oval, Drag Strip, Hillclimb, Skid Pan, and Tight Corner sections," reads a description of the game's new track as posted on the game's website.

It was said that players will be able to get the 1952 Mercedes 300SL (W194) for free. Aside from this, players can also obtain the game's third pack of "Community Liveries." According to the report, the Community Liveries includes "five real-life Zakspeed Capri Group 5 designs as well as the official Project CARS SMS-R livery sported in real-life by the Marc Cars Australia team in the International Endurance Series."

Videogamer reports that the "Aston Martin Track Expansion" will be available for both PC and PS4 for only £4.49 or $6.79 and $6.64 for Xbox One. Slightly Mad Studios is said to be working on "Project Cars 2" but it was stressed that the DLC is part of the game's "Project On Demand." The company has previously released themed car parks and new track.

"Project Cars on Demand is our commitment to keeping Project Cars up to date with the greatest, freshest, and most critical content whilst also allowing players to pick and choose the cars & tracks they want - without being locked into a pre-paid scheme," Slightly Mad Studios said.
