‘How to Get Away with Murder’ Season 2 First Episode Recap: ‘It’s Time to Move On’

"How to Get Away with Murder" season two opener titled "It's Time to Move On" reveals Rebecca's killer and finds Annalise fighting for her life.

Emmy award winner Viola Davis is back as crime lawyer Annalise Keating for the second season of the hit series "How to Get Away with Murder." In a review by Pop Matters, the premiere kicks off with the Keating Five still facing a blank wall about Rebecca's location while Wes is trying hard to look for her. This gives rise to a suspicion between Frank and Annalise that maybe Wes has something to do with Rebecca's disappearance. They hatch a plan to make him confess about the crime.

Meanwhile, Michaela is trying to figure out what Rebecca's last message to her means. She tries to make contact with whoever is holding the phone but to no avail. Wes became aggressive in Annalise's class while Connor moved in with Oliver despite his revelation that he is positive with HIV.

An interesting twist to the episode happens when an old friend and a fellow lawyer from Annalise's past show up. Eve was called upon by Annalise to represent Nate who was arrested for Sam's murder. Eve later learns that it was Annalise who framed Nate for the murder to protect Wes. It is also revealed that Annalise and Eve has history together and not just as platonic friends but also as lovers; the two eventually share a passionate kiss.

In a post by After Ellen, upon learning that Annalise framed Nate, Eve backs out in taking the case. Annalise tries to convince her to stay but Eve has had enough of her manipulation in the past so she finally decides to leave. And to add fuel to the flame, Annalise discovers that it was Bonnie who killed Rebecca. Things turn quickly around and soon Eve is back representing Nate.
