Bethesda's "Fallout Shelter" turned out to be more than a past time for fans who are eagerly waiting for the new game series "Fallout 4."
Many players might have already reached the ceiling and maxed out all of their 200-dweller cap and vaults upgrade. The good news is that Pete Hines, Bethesda's marketing VP, promised that more updates will come for "Fallout Shelter."
Characters for the game are being updated, but more than that, Hines said: "The intention is that for the rest of this year and into next year and beyond, we will continue to develop new stuff for the game - and not just [enemies] deathclaws, but to continue to grow and expand the game for folks that have hit 200 people and have maxed out everything. We are asking ourselves: What more can we add content wise for these people? That is definitely a big part of our plan."
"Fallout Shelter" was announced and released during the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2015 (E3 2015) in June. It immediately became a hit and topped the charts of Apple Store, reaching 70 million gameplays and earning $5 million in less than a month after the release, according to Game Zone.
"How often do you get to hear about a game you didn't even know existed and then can download it straight away?" Hines asks, according to MCV UK. "We felt that was a really cool way to do it, and do it in a larger part of talking about this massive game that has been rumoured and speculated about... it was a perfect alignment of the stars."
The release on Android followed on Aug. 13, which was highly anticipated by Android owners.
Meanwhile, Bethesda has recently released a preview of the character system for "Fallout 4" which is slated to be released in November.
