'Vikings' Season 4 Spoilers: Updates on Rollo, Aslaug and Ragnar's Rumored New Love Interest

History Channel's "Vikings" will return to TV for its fourth season sometime next year with promises of new alliances, enemies, intrigues and backstabbing.

According to MNR Daily, the last season has shown how Rollo (Clive Standen) betrayed his own brother Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) after Emperor Charles of West Francia (Lothaire Bluteau) turned him against his brother with the offers of lands, titles, and even the hand of his own daughter for marriage.

"Rollo got offered the land and the princess by Charles, and I don't think he really thought about it that much. It seems like a win-win scenario. He's got nothing to go back for in Kattegat anymore," Clive Standen has revealed to Entertainment Weekly, MNR gathered. He has also revealed that eventually Rollo will realize that he had made the wrong decision and the next season will most likely show the repercussions he will be facing.

Moreover, according to ecunews.com, the upcoming season will focus on the struggle of Ragnar and Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland), his second wife, to make the relationship work and the rumor is that the relationship will still end. It is also said that the conflict in their relationship will arise from the fact that Aslaug will not want to step down after enjoying the taste of power from being in charge of Kattegat.

Rumor has it that Ragnar will also develop a love interest for the Chinese slave Yidu (Dianne Doan), whom the pagans have brought back to Kattegat after successfully conquering Paris. According to International Business Times, Dianne Doan has recently teased about her character saying that her mystery which frightens the villagers will captivate Ragnar's interest. Doan may not have revealed much about Yidu and Ragnar but she has shared that the creator, Michael Hirst, has "written some incredible scenes, touching on darker topics and circumstances" for her character.

Fans would have to stay tuned to the all-new "Vikings" when it returns to History Channel for its upcoming season in 2016.
