Vanessa Rousso may not have won the $500,000 on the finale night of "Big Brother 17" but there is still something big to celebrate, and that's her engagement with girlfriend Melissa Ouellet.
Just before the "Big Brother 17" wrap party in West Hollywood last Thursday night, Vanessa's long-time girlfriend and lived-in partner popped the big question. According to TMZ, Melissa proposed to Vanessa while they were still in the room, just before going to the party.
Vanessa announced her engagement with Melissa on stage. The Celeb Dirty Laundry reported that Vanessa told the press that night that, "The last 48 hours had been a whirlwind. The biggest shock came to me my amazing and talented girlfriend asked me to marry her while at the hotel last night." She went on to say, "Of course, I said yes. We are getting married." The crowd cheered and took pictures of the happy couple.
CDL also reported that a few days ago Vanessa told Liz that she is planning to ask Melissa to marry her. But Melissa didn't let the chance pass proposed to Vanessa instead. It has also been said that a press asked Melissa if she has any idea that Vanessa wants to propose to her. Melissa just answered that she is madly in love with Vanessa and she cannot imagine a life without her.
Vanessa was very open and vocal in expressing her love for Melissa while she was still in the house. The poker champion spoke about her devotion to her long-time partner a couple of times already to her other houseguests.
As reported, when Vanessa arrived at the wrap party and was seen wearing an elegant engagement ring.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that Vanessa has an upcoming show with CBS called "Poker Face," which earlier sparked rumors that she was the pre-determined winner of "Big Brother 17" to promote it.
