'The Simpsons' Co-Creator's Estate Listed For Sale

Sam Simon, the co-creator of "The Simpson's", died in March at the age of 59, now his estate is up for sale at $18 million, based on the confirmation of listing agents Stephen Sigoloff and Billy Rose of the Agency.

The mansion is achitecturally designed by Richard Neutra and is almost one and half acre. Simon's estate is located in Pacific Palisades, California. It has two homes, and is about 2,000 square foot. The 1948 house created by Mr. Neutra was featured in the Arts & Architecture magazine's post war house program case study. This case study is an influential and commissioned program which features famous architects that build modern but affordable houses.

Sam Simon, "Simpsons" Co-Creator died after losing against cancer. He resided next door to architect Neutra, before purchasing the house from its original owners 11 years ago and integrating it into his modern mansion.

Based on the public records, Mr. Simon bought the property at $3.95 million. Then he hired Marmol Radziner, an architecture and construction firm to modify the house. According to the Leo Marmol, owner of Marmol Radziner, Mr. Simon was really very committed and passionate to doing the suitable thing for the Neutra mansion.

Unfortunately, in 2007 the house was burned down, Mr. Simon changed it into an eco-friendly home adjacent to the Neutra mansion. The Neutra mansion and Simon's home complement each other but very much different in appearance. The "The Simpsons" co-creator uses the Neutra home as an office and a guesthouse and lives in his new home.

In other realty news, one of Neutra's design is in Pennsylvania and it is called the Pitcaim House. The design for this house was inspired by midcentury-modern architecture; the property costs $6 million.
