Alicia Keys Sells SoHo Penthouse for $17.95 Million

The R&B power couple, Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz found someone to buy their New York penthouse, reported Zillowblog.

The "Girl on Fire" songstress and husband bought the ravishing, glass penthouse from fellow New Yorker and musician, Lenny Kravitz. They bought the home for $12.75 million in 2010 after Kravitz had redesigned and did a complete renovation of the place.

Even though they stayed at the penthouse for two years, we're sure they didn't want to leave because of the magnificent view of the New York City skyline.

They put it on the market last March for $17.95 million, and it took a whole year for it to finally sell.

The penthouse, located in SoHo is the icing on the number of luxurious condos on Crosby Street. Most of the condos have lofty terraces and decorative indoors, all arranged to the utmost perfection. These SoHo apartments also include fireplaces, libraries and studio rooms.

Keys' apartment is very modern and comes with high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows. The glass floating staircase makes you feel like you're walking on air. The apartment also has a classy billiard room, and their dining has several uniquely designed chandeliers.

The condo spans 6,167 square feet of living quarters, and additionally comes with an enchanting private terrace that stretches 3,000 square-feet.

The city still hasn't gotten old for Keys and Beatz. They decided to relocate to a suburban Englewood, N.J. neighborhood, where they bought a mansion from Eddie Murphy on October of last year, reported Zillowblog.

The Grammy-winning, 32-year-old welcomed her son Egypt Daoud Ibarr Dean in 2010 in New York City. Her latest projects also include endorsing the BlackBerry 10 mobile platform in the city, she announced her plans to continue as the new Global Creative Director of the company. Keys fifth studio album "Girl on Fire" was released last November and debuted at number one for the first-week on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart.
