This pertains to Amazon's incredible 6 wins during the recently conducted 67th Emmy's Awards show last September 21 and reportedly wants to give back by slashing off a chunk from its Prime service fee.
Originally priced at $99, the company offered the said service for only $67 on Friday, September 25th starting at 12:01 AM ET and ending at 11:59 PM PT. This limited, one day sale is for new sign ups and will last for the year. They can then continue to enjoy the services back to its original price when the year is over.
According to the same Techradar report, Amazon is likely hoping to attract more attention for their Prime Instant Video Service where original Amazon show Transparent garnered won several awards.
