One country that still holds the pedestal when it comes to having the world's expensive hotel market is Moscow. According to a recent post by Buying Business Travel, "Moscow is still the world's most expensive destination for hotel stays, despite the Russian currency collapsing by more than 50 per cent over the last year."
Data shown by HRG established that an average room rate (ARR) in the Russian capital rose by 6.1 percent to £266.22 per night within the first six months of 2015, in comparison to last year's figures.

It is a popular tourist hub that continues till today. Another place is in Iceland. Reykjavik, Iceland's average hotel cost is $218. Another place that belongs to the list of most expensive places to stay in is in Sydney, Australia. In Sydney, Australia, the average hotel cost is $221. Sydney brags of a progressive economy across numerous sectors comprising of finance and tourism. The city had a gross regional product worth $337.45 billion in the year 2013, in turn emerging as a far bigger economy in comparison to Denmark, Singapore, and Hong Kong as further reported by MSN Money.
Other places are Tel Aviv, Israel, Doha, Qatar, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and Paris, France with an average hotel cost of $232.
