Get President Obama's Favorite Martha's Vineyard Vacation Home for $22.5M

Once a year, during summer, President Barrack Obama and his family take a break from their busy schedules and retreat to their favorite vacation home in Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts. The first family rents a 6,967-square-foot home located in Chilmark's Pond, a private compound in Martha's Vineyard. Its extreme exclusivity is perfect for the president and other high-profile celebrities who have also stayed here in the past. As reported by Triblive, director Steven Spielberg used the home in 1975 as location for his hit movie, "Jaws."

The house is currently listed on the market for $22.5 million.

Wallace and Co. Sotheby's describes the house as an "exquisite vineyard home." Originally built in 1961, the house underwent a major renovation in 2006 and adopted a sleeker, more modern design. The house sits on a 9.5-acre lot 120 feet above the Atlantic ocean and has six bedrooms, five full baths and two half baths.

The new design uses an open concept, making the house flow seamlessly between the interior and exterior. It highlights its beautiful surroundings by featuring a panoramic ocean view, floor to ceiling windows, and multiple skylights.

This presidential vacation home doesn't scrimp on details either. The flooring features oak wood and heated limestones. The kitchen is equipped with state-of-the-art stainless steel appliances. The private master suite, where the president and first lady stay during their vacation, has its own den.

Outside, the property has a heated infinity pool overlooking a majestic view. There is a gym, half basketball court, a private boat dock, and three beachfront lots. There is also a two-bedroom guest house located in the adjacent lot.

Currently, the house is the most expensive property on Martha's Vineyard listings. But for $22 million, the buyer gets not only an exquisite home with a majestic view, but also priceless exclusivity.
