'Fifty Shades Darker' Updates: Dakota Johnson Dishes Out Details On 'Fifty Shades of Grey' Sequel; Says People Are Scared of Her

Dakota Johnson visited Ellen DeGeneres' talk show last Sept. 18 to talk about her new film, "Black Mass." However, the comedian-host wanted to talk more about her other movie, "Fifty Shades Darker."

The 25-year-old actress--daughter of famous actress Melanie Griffith and musician Don Johnson--made her debut performance earlier this year with the first installment of the "Fifty Shades" series. She made headlines portraying a rather provocative and controversial role.

As E! Online reported, Johnson told DeGeneres that her famous parents have not seen the film, and it would be "weird" for them to do so. She also said that starring in a racy movie has put her in embarrassing situations.

"I was in a cab recently, and the driver was like, 'My wife and I, we saw your film. We really liked it.' And he goes, '...I thought there could be more sex,'" the actress recounted.

At one point, DeGeneres asked, "Are people more attracted to you or do you think people are scared of you?"

"I guess they're scared of me," Johnson answered. "They either love me or they're running for the hills...Mostly running for the hills."

The actress also revealed that she's currently unattached, despite rumors that she and fellow actor Jake Gyllenhaal are dating, as reported by Hollywood Life.

In true Ellen fashion, the host gave her a bunch of little tokens before concluding the interview, which Johnson gleefully accepted. The gifts included a flogger, a pair of handcuffs, a whip, and a blue blanket with "Ellen's got me covered" written on it.

Johnson revealed that filming for the second installment of the "Fifty Shades" series is scheduled around January next year.

Meanwhile, Johnson's new movie, "Black Mass," is currently showing in all cinemas nationwide. It stars Johnny Depp as the infamous Irish-American mobster Whitley Bulger. The film premiered at the 72nd Venice International Film Festival and received positive reviews.
