Keller Williams Largest Real Estate Company in U.S., Exceeds RE/MAX and Century 21

Keller Williams Realty, Inc. is the largest real estate company in the United States, The San Antonio Express reported. 

The announcement was made during the franchise's annual convention in Dallas on Feb. 6. In front of more than 10,000 of its associates. Keller Williams' approximately 80,000 agents exceeds associates from RE/MAX, Century 21 and Coldwell Banker and makes it the largest real estate company in the country. 

"Keller Williams associates: We are one family. We have one destiny. We share one thing," said Mark Willis, Chief Executive Officer, at the annual State of the Company address. "We are America's number one real estate company by agent count!"

The company increased productivity gains last year with a 23-percent increase in per-agent units, 31 percent closed volumes and total gross commissions rose 28 percent, according to Willis' reports.

The CEO also reported the final profit share total added up to over $55 million towards the Keller Williams associates, which was a 44 percent increase from the previous year.

The convention also invited more than 70 guests from 18 countries as part of an effort to announce their expansion into the international realty market. Keller Williams Worldwide President, Chris Heller, said the company is ready to develop their franchise into four countries: Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Turkey. Previously, they announced their arrival in Vietnam, Indonesia and Southern Africa.

Keller Williams was ranked "Highest in Customer Satisfaction" by J.D. Power and Associates in 2012, for home buyers and sellers. The study was from almost 2,994 evaluations measuring five companies and the responses from people who bought or sold homes between March 2011 and April 2012.

The realty company established its first office in 1983 in Austin and has grown to establish offices across the United States and Canada. It caters to both luxury homes and commercial real estate.
