Bobbi Kristina Death: Nick Gordon Files Motion to Overturn Wrongful Death Lawsuit

Bobbi Kristina's  death still remains a mystery. After she was buried beside her late mother Whitney Houston, the investigators are still digging for answers on what happened on the night she was found facedown on a bathtub. Nick Gordon faces a $10 million wrongful death lawsuit, and this time he has filed a motion to dismiss it.

Gordon's lawyers, Bryant Green III and Jonathan M. Broderick, filed court documents against Bobbi Kristina's estate conservator, Bedelia C. Hargrove, to counteract her allegations. According to the papers filed at Superior Court of Fulton County in Georgia on Tuesday, there are various reasons to dismiss the case based on different grounds, International Business Times reports.

"Plaintiff's Complaint as answered by Defendant contains several unsupported conclusory, untrue criminal accusations that Defendant Nicholas Gordon committed acts that he simply did not do. Plaintiff has not provided any evidence including but not limited to, affidavits, police reports, indictments, and or any documentation to support baseless claims made against Defendant," the court papers read.

The papers allege that the amended wrongful lawsuit was filed after Bobbi Kristina's death. Moreover,  Gordon's camp says that the allegations are baseless because they are not even supported by affidavits, police reports or other evidence, according to Buzz.Blog.AJC. The intial autopsy also revealed no obvious cause of death.

A source told Radar Online that Gordon claimed in the papers that the case against him must be overturned as he is not a resident of Georgia. The paper also states that since he and Bobbi Kristina were never married, there is no need for separate maintenance, divorce, annulment or other domestic relations actions.

According to the site, for the first time, Gordon revealed what really transpired on the night of Jan. 31.  He claimed that somebody found Bobbi Kristina unconscious, facedown on her bathtub. He reportedly immediately woke her up and attempted to resuscitate her through CPR, but he failed.

This is the second time that the 25-year-old slammed the lawsuit filed against him. In August, his criminal lawyer Jose Baez issued a statement and called the wrongful death lawsuit as "slanderous and meritless." Gordon remains as one of the suspects in Bobbi Kristina's death.
