A.J. Pierzynski Sells Chicago Home After Signing with Texas Rangers

Former Chicago White Sox player, A.J. Pierzynski, has sold his Chicago home for $1.75 million after he signed a deal with the Texas Rangers as a free agent, according to the Chicago Tribune.

He purchased the Victorian-style mansion in 2006 for $1.625 million. The house includes 3 1/2 baths, original doors with working transoms, a de Giulio kitchen, a master suite with a white marble bath, a first-floor family room with a wet bar, and a roof deck atop the garage.

"It's a beautiful house in an A-plus location," said listing agent Emily Sachs Wong of Koenig & Strey. "It showed really, really well."

Pierzynski also owns a 6,600-square-foot home in Windermere, Fla., that he bought in 2007 for $3.6 million. Former Rangers general manager John Hart lives in the same neighborhood.

Pierzynski signed with the Rangers as a free agent, ending an eight-year run with the Chicago White Sox.
