Serena Williams Sells Los Angeles Home for $1.8 Million

Tennis czarina, Serena Williams's Los Angeles Condo has reportedly sold for $1.8 million. Earlier reports presumed that the property belonged to her sister,Venus Williams.

According to the News.com, Serena has been at her "scariest best" in the ongoing Australian Open and has been nicknamed "a sports version of Wonder Woman - the superhero'". In a recent match, she ripped records when she delivered a 207 km/h serve for the second time in two consecutive matches. She also recently won a Gold medal in the 2012 London Olympics in women's doubles along with her sister.

Apart from sports, Venus owns her own interior decorating firm called "V*star." Therefore, Serena's condo might have been done up by the older sister. However, in the latest listing pictures, the condo looks more like a staged apartment rather than a "Venus" decoration!

The apartment is spread across an area of 2,403 square feet and comprises of two bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms. The condo is in the Remington Building that is a 24-story apartment laden with luxury amenities like 24-hours concierge services, valet parking, fully furnished and a modern fitness center along with a spa and a swimming pool, reports Real Estalker.

The condo spots hardwood flooring and scenic views of the city as well. A private access elevator leads to the foyer that opens into a spacious sunlit living room. The place features a white tiled kitchen with a center island. The bedrooms have attached bathrooms along with huge walk-in closets, reports Real Estalker.

Serena's career graph saw a downhill phase during 2004-06 with inconsistent results and injuries. However, the tennis star bounced back to the top 10 in 2007-08.  Serena is also known for her unique fashion trends. She signed a $40 million contract with Nike to produce a fashion line in 2004.

Serena and Venus both currently live in a shared property in Bel Air. They recently added an extra 11,000 square footage to the estate to build a training center, reports AOL Real estate.

Venus and Serena have together won 13 Grand Slam titles. However, Serena has won 13 matches of the total 23 games she played against Venus.

Her sister Venus has been ranked the No.1 tennis player thrice  by the Women's Tennis Association. Currently, she ranks 26.
