'Fifty Shades Darker' Spoilers & Production Updates: Filming In Vancouver To Start In February

The filming for the upcoming "Fifty Shades Darker" has been confirmed to commence in Vancouver this February. According to On Locations Vacation, the cast and crew of "Fifty Shades Darker" recently booked North Shore Studios starting next year.

A few months ago, there were reports that the filming of "Fifty Shades Darker" will begin in January. However, the production will reportedly be moved because of lead star Jamie Dornan.

According to multiple sources, Dornan recently finished filming for his movie "Anthropoid" and the actor wants to be able to spend quality time with his wife, Amelia Warner and daughter Dulcie.

There were also rumors that the filming for "Fifty Shades Darker" will be delayed due to Dakota Johnson's relationship with boyfriend Matthew Hitt. There were reports that Hitt is worried about Johnson and Dornan's closeness.

However, none of such reports are true. The filming of "Fifty Shades Darker" was reportedly moved from January to February simply because the studio wasn't available early next year.

Meanwhile, there are reports that "House of Cards" director James Foley is currently in negotiations with Universal Pictures to help in "Fifty Shades Darker." According to Variety, if Foley will accept the job offer, he could also be the one in charge of directing "Fifty Shades Freed."

The publication added that the casting for "Fifty Shades Darker" could be finalized after Foley accepts the job offer. This means that in the next few weeks, Universal Pictures will already announce which actors and actresses will be tapped to join the "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel.

As of late, the role of Jack Hyde, Dr. Flynn, Mrs. Robinson and Leila Williams have not yet been filled and fans are already anticipating which of their favorite actors will be part of the trilogy.

"Fifty Shades Darker" is slated to hit theaters in the United States on Feb. 10, 2017.
