'Switched At Birth' Season 2 Spoilers: John Kennish In Huge Debt Crisis; Daphne Loses Her Scholarship & Bay Faces Sexual Assault Backlash

"Switched at Birth" Season 4 aired its 12th episode on Monday night and it featured Bay's (Vanessa Marano) sexual assault backlash.

The episode also focused on Daphne (Katie Leclerc) losing her scholarship after getting a D in her Chemistry subject, according to TV Fanatic.

During the first half of Season 4, Bay suffered through several ordeals and is now trying to get her feet back up on the ground.

Bay previously ended her relationship with Emmett (Sean Berdy) after the latter said that he wants to pursue other things in L.A. After Bay confessed to being sexually assaulted by Tank (Max Adler), Emmett chickened out on her and couldn't accept the fact that she was raped.

Although Emmett said that this wasn't true, Bay believes it was so because Emmett decided to call it quits around the same time.

Meanwhile, on Monday night's episode, Bay witnessed how some people talked behind her back for the new rule that was set in their school in relation to sexual assault. On the other hand, there were also a few characters who were supportive of the new rule.

In other news, Toby (Lucas Grabeel) and Lily (Rachel Shenton) contemplated on what they should do about the latter's pregnancy. It was recently revealed that their baby has Down syndrome and Toby and Lily want to have their child aborted.

Although they said that their main reason for wanting to do so is because they are not ready to raise a child with special needs, Daphne said that they should reconsider their other options.

For Daphne, who has been diagnosed as deaf as a child, raising a baby with Down syndrome could change Toby and Lily's life for the better. However, it is still unclear which path the two will take in terms of Lily's pregnancy, according to Latin Post.

"Switched at Birth" Season 4 airs Mondays on ABC Family.
