Jim Donald Net Worth: Former Starbucks CEO Lists Seattle Mansion

Former Starbucks CEO Jim Donald listed his luxury residence in Seattle for sale.  The executive's Laurelhurst mansion has an asking price of $3.7 million.

Donald, current chief executive of Extended Stay America Inc., has placed his Seattle mansion located at  4315 N.E. 33rd Street in Laurelhurst on the market, reports Seattle's The Curbed.  Donald and his family moved into the expansive home when he started his career with the Seattle coffee company.  The 6,342 square-foot house was originally built in 1909 and has seen many renovations over the past 13 years.

Despite the renovations, the Laurelhurst mansion reportedly still retained its period details such as carved columns, ceiling beams, inlaid wood floors and leaded windows.  The home has five bedrooms including a "penthouse-like" bedroom with great views of Lake Washington.  It also has four fireplaces and 4.25 baths. The CEO's former home has a built-in office nook, a family room, art studio and a separate apartment perfect for guests.  Located just outside the house is a pergola with wisteria draped all over it.  There's even a deck garden with beautiful views of the lake.

Donald's wife, Laura, even told the Puget Sound Business Journal that the Seattle mansion originally had a carriage house and a separate lane behind it for carriages.  The lane reportedly surrounds the property and leads all the way down to Lake Washington.  Aside from the carriage lane, she also gushed about the pergola and shared that the deck garden is a "favorite place in the house."  The CEO's wife added, "We built in a deck garden, a big one which stretches the length of the second story. The house sits on a half acre. The gardens are amazing and very, very private and large for standards in city living."

Meanwhile, the former Starbucks CEO left the Seattle coffee giant in 2008, afterwhich he joined Haggen Food & Pharmacy and finally, Extended Stay Hotels.  According to the Charlotte Business Journals, the CEO's total compensation package with Extended Stay Hotels for 2014 amounted to $934,103.  This is lower from previous year's $1.37 million.  Donald's 2014 pay package reportedly does not include bonuses, incentives or stock awards, given that the company has failed to meet financial targets for the year.
