‘Person of Interest’ Season 5 Spoilers, Cast Updates: Sarah Shahi and Keith Martin join the Cast

After Samaritan and Greer located the machine in Season 4 and caused pandemonium across the West and East coasts and ISA eliminating its anti-supporters, a new member will be joining the CIA Agents, for the upcoming "Person of Interest" Season 5 which might be aired midseason of CBS' schedule. As revealed by EW, Keith Martin, who was known for portraying Elroy Patashnik in "Community" will be portraying Terence Beale for the upcoming season of the sci-fi crime drama series.  

Martin's role will be a strong force in the upcoming season as EW says that "he is a smart and cunning CIA supervisory agent." EW also described his character as, "David's character is described as the kind of guy who knows where the bodies are buried ... most because he put a few of them there himself."

Aside from Martin's addition to the series, it was also revealed by TV Line that Sarah Shahi who portrays the multi-skilled and highly-intelligent Dr. Sameen Shaw in the POI series will be back for eight or nine episodes. Shaw left due to her maternity, we've seen from her from the last season that her character was brainwashed by Samaritans.

Shahi confirms this in the Television Critics Association press tour and said, "I go back in September - full-time," the 35-year-old said. "I'll probably do eight or nine [episodes]."

MNR Daily reports that future storyline for the series shows Harold Finch (Michael Emerson), John Reese (Jim Caviezel), and Samantha "Root" Groves (Amy Acker) take-over Samaritan and TV Line reports that writers of the sci-fi crime drama will be rooting on how the Machine be brought to life next season.

Stay tune for more updates and although, it's not concluded yet when the airing date of the "Person of Interest" Season 5 will be aired. It might be expected early next year on CBS.
