'Winds of Winter' Update: White Walkers Stronger, Bigger to Put Down the Wall; Daenery's Dragons to Rescue World of Westeros?

"Winds of Winter," the sequel to George R.R. Martin's epic fantasy series "A Song of Ice and Fire," has no release date yet, but a bittersweet plot has already been revealed.

George R.R. Martin is yet to announce a release schedule for the new sequel of his epic fantasy series "A Song of Ice and Fire." The upcoming sixth novel entitled "Winds of Winter" is already getting some interest from the viewers after the author revealed that the series is bound to get a bittersweet ending, Ecumenical News shared. Fans are now speculating that the wall is probably going to fall.

"Winds of Winter" fictional world of Westeros has been kept safe by the wall for 8000 years. It was carefully maintained by the night's watch brotherhood. However, the world in the sixth season of HBO's "Game of Thrones" Westeros is about to face the dangers lurking beyond the wall, iDigitalTimes reported.

In "A Dance with Dragons," the 66-year-old author started to shift his focus from personal relationships and politics into more impressive fantasy elements. Thus, it is safe to assume that the next novels in the series will center on those same elements.

Meanwhile, it is believed that the White Walkers, also known as The Others, are eventually going to make their appearance more pronounced, which is what they have threatened to do. Fans are convinced that they will be the ones to break the wall.

Reports have also said that in the next book, The Others might be stronger and much bigger, which will ultimately allow them to break the Wall. Daenery's dragons are also said to be coming to Westeros' rescue, although this does not guarantee a complete victory as Martin's previous announcement of a bittersweet ending to "A Song of Ice and Fire" hints a possibility of demise.

Martin and HBO have not confirmed any of these "Winds of Winter" speculations.
