Windows 10 PC Gaming Review: Not Much Improvements Since Windows 8.1?

Windows 10, the new version of the Windows operating system software, is free and accessible to Windows OS users who currently have Windows 7 and Windows 8 installed on their PCs. However, gamers who have made the switch said that the upgrade does not offer much improvement over the Windows 8.1.

Gamers who use their PCs to play and are considering whether or not to implement upgrades to the Windows 10 can be assured of a good gaming experience. They can take consolation from millions of other people who have already made the move and reported to have experienced very little issues.

According to those who have upgraded to Windows 10, there were only a few of them who have been hit by bugs. Among these bugs is an error ridden e-mail, which automatically resets the client's browser preference from Mozilla's Firefox to Edge. Luckily for the gamers, the experience with regards to the gaming has so far been free of issues.

Reports have mentioned that video games such as "Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor" and "Tomb Raider" were tested on PCs operating on the Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. The results have shown that the experience is relatively the same, regardless of the system in use, the PC Gamer reported.

DirectX 12 element of the Windows 10 has also been reported to increase its systems' performance significantly, especially for those that use AMD graphic cards. Unfortunately, no game is using it at the moment.

Meanwhile, the impact is still to be tested with the anticipated release of  NVIDIA and AMD, two of the main providers of graphics cards. As for the games that use the technology of DirectX 12 graphics, a few titles were announced such as "Sea of Thieves," and "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided."

While gamers are waiting for the release, they can delve into other notable features of the Windows 10, including game-streaming on PC from the Xbox One, Beta News said.
