Samsung Galaxy Gear A 'Orbis' Rumors: Bezel Ring Design, Wi-Fi, Cellular Functions to Come with Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, Galaxy Note 5 Release on Aug. 5?

The Samsung Gear "Orbis" A watch will reportedly be launched together with the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and the Galaxy Note 5 this August 5th. No official specifications have been yet released by Samsung, but leaked rumors reveal that it is the next generation smart watch.

"Orbis" is to either have a curved or round shape since the most recent popular watches were made in round dials, Sam Mobile shared. Though the device's manufacturer has not confirmed any details, there have been reports that the device will sport a bezel ring design to make opening applications easier, along with zooming and scrolling tasks.

During the company's 2015 Tizen Summit in India, Samsung said: "Although the rotative dial was not mentioned as part of the upcoming Gear A, or any specific smartwatch, the feature was introduced as a method of controlling version 2.3.1 of Samsung's open-source Tizen operating system." This statement was reported by Phone Arena.

Samsung Gear A watch "Orbis" will also have features such as a super 1.18 inch, 305 ppi count, 360x360 AMOLED. Wearables like a heart rate monitor, accelerator, and gyroscope are also expected to come with the release. Cellular functions, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4GB built-in storage, 768MB RAM, and a digital crown that is said to execute a bezel ring's functions will also be present.

An "Orbis" watch is also believed to have a wireless charging capacity. It will then imbibe a similar setup to that of the Android Wear round faced rival, the running partner Moto 360. A portable handy charging dock will come with the device so the Samsung Gear A watch "Orbis" sits charged when the owner is not wearing it.

For its biometrics, a biosignal, smartwatch ID system is reportedly being developed. This will be instrumental in authenticating owners prior to payment transcations.

With the upcoming release, Samsung is continuously hoping that the public will welcome it warmly.
