'Destiny: The Taken King' Sept. 15 Release Update: Nolan North Becomes New Narrator; DLC Offers New Leveling System, New Armor, Gear Better?

"Destiny" is scheduled to release its third game franchise in September.

"Destiny: The Taken King" DLC is said to bring forth major game upgrades, including a new voice of the popular Ghost character and an all new experienced-based leveling system. Levels 20 to 34 will focus on the game's gear enhancements.

"Destiny: The Taken King" also has new levels that have been upgraded with a brand new cap that could reach 40, Game Informer shared. For each of the unlocked levels, new sets of armor and gear will be activated to increase the gamer's power. Luke Smith, creative director of "Destiny", explained that the changes were brought about because millions of players had been experiencing difficulties in jumping from one level to another. With the new gaming system, gamers will have the ability to push gameplay to the next level through earning XPs.

Aside from this change, gamers who will install the game on the release date will also experience a different character of Ghost, the robot who is aiding the guardians. Peter Dinklage, the voice behind Ghost, has also been replaced by Nolan North. This isn't North's first time to voice video games because he was also in "Assassin's Creed" and in "Uncharted" as Nathan Drake. North expressed in a Youth Health Magazine interview, "I was really excited to do this role. You want to give him as much personality as the world will allow, without making it unbelievable. There's a fine line to walk there, and I think we found it."

Meanwhile, not all gear from the predecessor "Destiny" can be used in the expansion pack of "The Taken King" because the changes in the new leveling system in the new DLC will come with new armor and gear. However, the creative director has revealed that they are creating a new batch of toys that are better versions of what the players used to enjoy. "Destiny: The Taken King" is scheduled to be released for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, and PS3 on September 15th.
