Russia

For Russia, it is more like a mix of old and new, old-fashioned art, antique finds in modern-day homes.

As Aleksey Dorozhkin, Editor in Chief of ELLE Decoration Russia said from the article that "In many contemporary homes you will see owners dreaming about the faded grandeur of old estates, dachas and bourgeoise apartments of [the] Belle Époque." And "Vintage finds are properly mixed with art, fabrics and expensive antique objects."

Germany

In Germany, the trend is stimulated by Art-deco design that uses materials like brass, gold, and velvet and such vital pieces you need are daybeds, cocktail chairs in gemstone colors, dressing tables, and folding screens.

India

Indian designers are having defined effort to revive craftsmanship that was derived from specialized techniques and traditional motifs and be able to apply it to textiles, decorations, wall treatments, rugs, throws, cushions, and bed linens.

Spain

Design trends in Spain display "sophistication and youthfulness." It combines old-style fundamentals with new textiles and ceramics.

Mexico

With Mexico, they are trying to combine vintage pieces to their modernized spaces to preserve still their antiquity.

Japan

Japan is known for supporting green design and their love for the environment. The design trend can also be seen in their homes where they want to have mini plants and flowers like "succulents, foliage plants and dry flowers" in their homes.

Italians are into furnishings that are of beauty and also are great to touch. The materials of use are metals, wood, leather and stones; and trusting these with the light of metal and silk.

South Africa

Greece
