Real Estate Listings: Australia's 'Best' Luxury Beach House in Whitsundays Goes for Sale

Heaven's Gate in Whitsundays is often revered as the "best" beach house in Australia, and finally, it's now on the market! According to the property's official website, the award-winning and eco-friendly home covers 75 acres and has a 375-acre beachfront. It is situated in a 1400-acre land.

MailOnline paid a visit to the beautiful mansion. The marvelous beach house was bought by current owners Ian and Bishop nine years ago for a little over $4 million from a couple based in Hawaii.

In an interview of the couple with News.com.au, they mentioned that they aren't exactly happy to sell the award-winning property. The family has done a lot of improvement and work throughout the years that resulted to the house, which is truly a piece of heaven on earth. Now with a selling price of $10 million, the Bishops' investment resulted in something profitable.

Back in 2006, it was "love at first sight" for the Bishops and they immediately bought the property only a day after checking it out. From that day on, they've been nothing but hands on when it comes to the design and structure of Heaven's Gate.

The family is said to move to a smaller space, but still along the gorgeous beach and sands of Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef as they see no reason to leave "arguably the prettiest part of the world."

Heaven's Gate boasts a panoramic view of the bay, six expertly styled bedrooms, three full bathrooms, a helipad, in-house spas, and open dining and lounge areas. It's also a short flight away from other regal beaches like Hamilton and Hayman Beaches. The property is set to be auctioned on August 17 at the Intercontinental Hotel Double Bay.
