Game developer CD Projekt Red has confirmed that it will soon release a new game mode, the New Game Plus. The New Game Plus mode will be CD Projekt's final piece of free downloadable content for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" video game, a report from iDigitalTimes said on Tuesday.
According to iDigitalTimes, in CD Projekt Red's New Game Plus mode, players will be able to carry some personal items such as gold, gear and other loot. The report said that in the game's new campaign, fighting with different enemies will be much harder. However, the report pointed out that it is still uncertain as to when the company will release the New Game Plus mode. It also added that CD Projekt wants the upcoming DLC to meet the expectation of the gaming community.
In a Gamespot report, Marchin Momot, community manager of "The Witcher 3" forum, has shared some details about the upcoming "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" New Game Plus mode:
--"Enemies will be stronger obviously.
--Players can select any difficulty level.
--Death Match can be achieved when playing the NG+ mode
--What carries over? Player experience ( below level 30 when finishing the vanilla game, will be bumped to level 30 for the start of NG+), items (excluding: quest items, books & letters, Gwent cards, usable items, trophies) and alchemy recipes.
---What's the starting level of the character when beginning NG+? The same those players had when finishing the game, if above 30; otherwise players will start at 30.
---Players can get a free Clearing Potion at the start in order to reset the skills and try a different build."
New Game Plus will also include alternate costumes and hairstyles for Geralt and Yennefer. Aside from these, a new finishing move and horse armor will be introduced for both Geralt and Yennefer, according to Gamespot.
