How About Living in Harper Lee’s Hometown?

Last Tuesday, Harper Lee's "Go Set a Watchman", the much anticipated sequel to the Pulitzer Prize-winning "To Kill a Mockingbird", was released.  The said release made a mark as one of the biggest events in literary history.  Lee's statement of Maycomb, the fictionalized version of her hometown, Monroeville, AL, was in the first chapter of the book.  She wrote, "Home was Maycomb County, a gerrymander some seventy miles long and spreading thirty miles at its widest point, a wilderness dotted with tiny settlements the largest of which was Maycomb, the county seat."

Statistics shows that in Monroevilles, previously titled as ""The Literary Capital of Alabama", the murder rate is high, higher than that of Alabama and the median household income barely hits $29,000, which is considered 9% lower than the county it is located in.  Other than that, the town is also known for some attributes like 11-to-1 student-teacher ratio at the elementary school, the average listing price: $151,000 and that majority of the folks are married and are high school graduates.  Nevertheless, the proud citizens of Monroeville are excited about Harper Lee's Books and if you want to be part of them you can take a look at these listings:
