After Ellen Pao stepped down as Reddit's interim chief interim officer, everyone thought that the drama ends there. But according to CNet, Reddit's former CEO Yishan Wong accused the organization's co-founder Alexis Ohanian of the brain behind Pao's ejection from the company.
Ironically, Wong took it to Reddit of his two cents on the situation. He said that Ohanian wanted to change Reddit's popular Ask Me Anything column that gives the common public to interact with Bill Gates and even President Barack Obama. This controversial column was managed by Victoria Taylor, who was fired by Pao, that eventually led to the latter being petitioned online to step down.
Pao became a popular figure with the Reddit community because of her gender battle with her former employer, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. She also gained notoriety for her unpopular decision to ban Reddit's controversial forums such as FatPeopleHate.
Wong did not hold back when he fired shots at Ohanian, it read "Instead, he just sat back and let her take the heat," Wong wrote. "That's a stunning lack of leadership and an incredibly s***ty thing to do."
In related news, RealtyToday, reported about Pao's resignation after the clamor of the Reddit community. It was also revealed that Pao and Reddit's board of directors have come to agree on a term reason why Pao finally stepped down. The position was filled up, right away, by Reddit's former CEO Steve Huffman, to keep the organization intact.
Pao poured in her sentiments on the website by saying that she is like everybody else, a human who made mistakes.
Reddit is an entertainment, social networking, and news website where registered community members can submit content, such as text posts or direct links, making it essentially an online bulletin board system. Reddit is the brainchild of Steve Huffman and Alexis Ohanian in June 2005.
