Lamar Odom Net Worth: Former Los Angeles Lakers Forward Lists Estate for Lease at $20,000 a Month

Lamar Odom's net worth is expected to increase after the former Los Angeles Lakers forward has placed his Pinecrest, Florida estate for lease for $20,000 a month. The Mediterranean-style property was bought by the former Lakers forward in 2003 for $2.975 million.

Odom's estate is not new in the real estate market. In fact, the property was placed for rent beginning 2011 for $14,000 a month. Two years later, the former NBA player placed the mansion for lease at $17,000 a month, according to Los Angeles Times.

Odom's 8,557-square-foot Miami home boasts stone pillars, wrought-iron staircases on both sides, and a two-story foyer with fresco ceilings. The mansion built in 2002 has six bedrooms and eight bathrooms. Inside, the mansion features a master's suite with a huge soaking tub, dual-island kitchen, a billiards room, home theater and a wet bar.

On its exterior, the home features a summer kitchen surrounded with Palms. There are also a swimming pool with spa, basketball court and a covered patio, Latin Post reports. The property was listed under Judy Zeder of EWM Realty International.

Odom's net worth is estimated to $50 million according to Celebrity Net Worth. He has a reported salary of $8.2 million. Playing basketball since his younger years, Odom has seen success easily with his hard work.

The 6-foot-10- inch forward instantly became part of the 2000 NBA All-Rookie First Team after he was chosen by the Los Angeles Clippers. In 2003, he played for the Miami Heat until 2004 NBA season. It was during the time that he purchased the property that is for lease now. The following year, he found his home with the Lakers, where he played for seven straight years.

Through the success of his career and improvement of his net worth, the former Lakers player couldn't just leave his home in Miami. "I became a better player and a better man in Miami. I grew up a lot," Odom was once quoted as saying during an interview.
