"Divergent" stars Shailene Woodley and Theo James both admire their respective characters Tris and Four on the hit trilogy by Veronica Roth. According to Venture Capital Post, the onscreen couple are both proud of their respective characters because of the kind of people they are. Woodley and James also revealed how happy they are with their onscreen relationship because it has made working with each other easier for both of them.
In an interview with Glamour Magazine, Woodley said in reference to Tris and Four, "People love that they support one another so much and respect one another. It's sexier to see a couple that aren't all over each other."
Woodley, who plays the role of Tris in "Allegiant - Part 1," also talked about how her character is able to surpass all challenges that come her way because she knows who she is and how to handle herself.
Meanwhile, James also described the kind of relationship Tris and Four have in the trilogy and said that they are "two people in love but broken by the situation they're in. They go from a burgeoning love story to two people genuinely in love."
In other news, fans of Woodley and James are still curious why the two never got into a relationship with one another. The actors previously confirmed that they are nothing more than friends. However, this does not mean know that they are not fond of each other.
"She's probably a much better person than I am. I was impressed by her level of ethical ability to kind of strive to be a better person, like with her environmental issues. Shai is 100 percent genuine in her way and very real. She really does those things in a way that puts us all to shame," James said of Woodley.
"Allegiant - Part 1" is slated to hit theaters in the United States on March 18, 2016.
