"Finding Carter" star Kathryn Prescott, who plays the role of Carter, recently opened up about the biggest shocker this season. During Monday night's final episode for Season 2, it was revealed that Carter's biological father, David Wilson (Alexis Denisof), fathered a man named Ben (Ben Winchell).

In an interview with TV Line, Prescott said that there's a chance Carter and Ben will get to know each other better because they share common issues and people in their lives.

"She's going to see Ben and recognize that he's been through the same things that she has, mainly Lori. I don't think she'd be silly enough to throw that away. I think it'll be interesting to see the similarities between them," she said.

Meanwhile, executive producer Emily Whitesell also talked about her decision to kill off Kyle (Eddie Matos). According to her, Kyle didn't have much bearing on the story anymore especially since Elizabeth (Cynthia Watros) chose to get back together with David. Whitesell added that the death of Kyle could impact Elizabeth's character greatly and fans could see positive and negative changes in her in the upcoming season.

Additionally, Whitesell also revealed that new and exciting events will take place in the life of Bird (Vanessa Morgan). However, in the next season, Bird will not reunite with Madison (Molly Kuns). Although fans immediately embraced their lesbian relationship, the exec reminded fans that Bird is the type of girl who has a lot of different colors and personalities.

In other news, it seems that there's a chance Lori (Milena Govich) doesn't really want to get Carter back. What she wants instead is the freedom to be out from prison, Christian Today reported.

"First of all, Lori's just trying to get out of jail. That's certainly one of her endgames. We also explored the aspect of her mental illness; when she's medicated, she's pretty damn terrific," Whitesell said.

"Finding Carter" Season 3 will return to MTV in 2016.
