There might reportedly be another character worthy of Thor's hammer Mjolnir, which is known as one of the most powerful weapons in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Fans know that there are only three individuals that can actually handle the mighty weapon: Thor, his father Odin, and The Vision.
According to the report of Cinemablend, Captain Steve Rogers in the upcoming movie "Captain America: Civil War" may actually get to lift the said hammer. According to the report, a user named Charleswelsh in Superhero Hype message boards shared that he saw a stunt in the upcoming film being prepared, which involved Captain America (he didn't say whether it was Chris Evans or a stunt double) holding a "CGI stand-in prop that was shaped like a double sided hammer."
International Business Times shared that although Steve Rogers couldn't lift the hammer in "Avengers: Age of Ultron," in the comics, the character actually picked up the Mjolnir in The Mighty Thor #390 (1988) and used its immense power to defeat the Egyptian God of Death and his followers.
According to Cinemablend, it's hard to tell whether this story is legitimate or not, so it's better for readers to take it with a grain of salt. The rumor is reportedly questionable because there's no indication that Thor is actually included in "Captain America: Civil War." Thor will reportedly only appear again in his own movie, "Thor: Ragnarok," which is slated for release in 2017.
Meanwhile, another article from Cinemablend reported that Spider-Man's role in "Captain America: Civil War" is actually pretty small. Comicbook cited that it's not an official confirmation since Marvel will never officially announce a Spider-Man cameo before the movie's premiere because after all, cameos are reportedly usually anchored on surprises and secrecy.
"Captain America: Civil War" will hit theaters on May 6, 2016.
