Fans of the "World of Warcraft Warlords of Draenor" has something to cheer about as game developer Blizzard has announced on Wednesday that it will release an updated patch that will re-introduce "flying" in the gameplay.
A 6.2 patch will be rolled out soon, which will allow players who unlock a number of achievements earn the ability to fly. Inquisitir said that once the 6.2 patch has been officially released, players can immediately start working on the new achievements. However, the ability to fly is still unlocked until a follow-up patch is released. Once all the achievements have been earned eventually, the ability to fly will be unlocked too in other characters.
According to the same report, Ion Hazzikostas, lead designer of the "World of Warcraft," said that flying will return to "World of Warcraft Warlords of Draenor" because a deluge of comments posted in forums, community and blogging sites stated that players want Draenor to fly and be able to see the ground on a high vantage point.
"World of Warcraft's" Ion Hazzikostas in a Battle.net post on Wednesday explained why Draenor was initially restricted to fly: "World of Warcraft is full of memorable moments that are only possible when players explore the world by ground. And as we've continued to develop content over the years, we've focused more and more on providing players with these kinds of experiences."
Hazzikostas, as quoted in the same website, added, "At the heart of the initial plan to restrict flight in Draenor (even after players reach level 100) lies the design goal of providing the best moment-to-moment gameplay possible in the outdoor world."
A similar report from Wowhead also said that players must be able to complete the Draenor Pathfinder achievement to unlock the Draenor's flying ability. In this achievement, players will master the outdoor environment of Draenor by exploring the zones, collecting 100 treasures, completing the Loremaster, securing Draenor achievements and raising the three Tanaan Jungle to Revered, among others.
