"Guardians of the Galaxy 2" will be arriving in theaters in 2017 and franchise actor Chris Pratt has just teased fans about the film.
The "Parks and Recreation" alum recently graced the cover of GQ Magazine and during the interview, the husband of Anna Faris spoke about his blockbuster Marvel sequel.
Although he didn't provide details, Pratt let it slip that he'll be involved in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) for quite some time. It was reported that it's likely the actor has a six-film contract, similar to that of other heavy-weight Marvel stars. This could include at least 3 "Guardians of the Galaxy" films along with three more flicks, which could involve the Avengers "Infinity Wars," "Captain Marvel" as well as "Inhumans."
While the other projects Pratt will be involved in remains a mystery, the "Jurassic World" star disclosed his own reaction when he spoke to writer/ director James Gunn about the basics of the sequel.
"I got teary eyed. He' so f--cking smart and peculiar."
Speaking of Gunn, Pratt also recalled what it was like to work with James on the original film.
"[Guardians director] James Gunn had a hard time working with me for about the first half of the movie...He'll say-and I wouldn't want to be quoted [sounding like I was] saying this about myself-I'm a much more cerebral person than you may expect. You may see this guy who's sort of like goofy and funny and doesn't give two shits, but really I'm thinking a lot, in my head below the surface."
The 35-year-old actor continued to say that sometimes he would over-analyze things, he'd lose his natural instincts.
"It's a little bit like a Venus flytrap... If you stick your finger in and it closes, it takes like a week to open back up. So he had a hard time working with me because he'd tell me something, or I'd do something, and the next thing you know he couldn't get me back to where I started originally."
Catch Chris Pratt in his next project, "Jurassic World," which premieres on June 12. "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" follows on the big screen in 2017.
Stay tuned for more.
