The fourth season of "Scandal" is coming to an end and the cast members of the hit show have provided some teasers as to what the finale has in store for eager fans.
With only one episode left, actress Katie Lowes, per E! Online, has teased that the situation between Olivia Pope's Gladiators and her father, Rowen Pope are about to escalate.
She called the finale a "gamechanger" and of the plot, "I think people are going to be really blown away."
She continued, "You'll definitely get your answers: if it can be done, if it can't be done, what does that involve, do people die, do people live, how does that affect the president?"
The comments follow lead actress Kerry Washington's earlier comments during an interview with Variety. "This finale episode, i mean, I just... I turned to Shonda. I was like, 'Where do we go from here? Are you for real? Now what?' It's crazy," she said.
The season finale's synopsis reads:
"Everything comes to a head in the shocking season finale when Olivia and the team finally make some big moves to take down Command, and Mellie's fate is sealed as the election results are announced."
In addition, actor Guillermo Diaz (Huck) has reveale that there will be multiple deaths in the upcoming finale. Melty shared that in the epic conclusion, with at least three characters dying, there will be a new Gladiator. Further, Diaz described the planned ending is going to be so "explosive" fans will definitely "freak out."
It's definitely going to be a nail biter. Shonda Rhimes is known for sudden and shocking plot twists, the newest of which was the jaw-dropping death of actor Patrick Dempsey, playing Dr. Derek Shepard aka McDreamy on "Greys Anatomy."
"Scandal" Season 5
Not much has been shared regarding the upcoming fifth season but according to actress Portia de Rossi, the wife of Ellen DeGeneres, it's possible, she'll be returning for the next season.
While she didn't go into detail, her teaser gesture of raising up one finger and mouthing "one more" is definitely telling. She further admitted that the show's cast is one-in-a-million. She admitted that it's the best cast she's ever been a part of and for those who don't recall, de Rossi has been part of "Arrested Development" and "Ally McBeal."
The fourth season of "Scandal" will come to an end on May 14 with the episode titled, "You Can't Take Command."
