'Grey's Anatomy' Actor Patrick Dempsey is Parting With His Malibu Home

Patrick Dempsey, the actor who portrayed the recently written off "Dr. Derek Shepherd" in the series "Grey's Anatomy," is reportedly parting with his Malibu home, notes Los Angeles Times.

The Dempsey estate, which the actor is selling for $14.5M---more than twice its value of $7M in 2009 when he purchased it--- is a proud work of Frank Gehry's architectural genius, states the news site. The two-story luxury Malibu home was first commissioned for a famous artist, the talented abstract painter Ron Davis, informs LA Times. Constructed in 1972, the modern Tin house reportedly used corrugated metal as part of its building materials.

The posh property which measures more than 5,500 sq. ft. of living space features soaring ceilings, bright ambiance, wooden flooring and an open floor area that offers comfort and grandeur. The Malibu home has three bedrooms, 3.5 baths, a family room and a home office, describes the news outlet.

The gated Dempsey property boasts ocean views but also prides itself with amenities designed for pure fun and adventure within the 3.2 acre estate such as rock-climbing wall, a swimming pool with spa, and a spacious lawn for sport activities, adds the site. There is also a four-stall barn to add to the new owner's excitement and beautifully-landscaped grounds for a dose of tranquility.
