Ever since it was announced that "Kingdom Hearts 3" is arriving to consoles, many fans of the series have been looking forward on what's new for the game. Word is out that a new world is arriving to the game rumored for release in August 2015 in the form of Disney's "Atlantis."
"Kingdom Hearts 3" is one of the most anticipated titles from developer Square Enix. However, since it was revealed that production on the title is underway, news and updates about the game have been scarce.
Initial speculations noted that there is a huge possibility fans could get a first glimpse of the game in the E3 conference scheduled in June. Square Enix scheduled its own press event and promised fans "a dose of some exciting news," reported Latin Times.
The company's announcements could include the highly anticipated "Kingdom Hearts 3." However, some fans expressed skepticism on this as there are numerous titles waiting for Square Enix to unveil and it's also unlikely that the title would be bypassed.
Meanwhile, Gameranx said that while the title might not be unveiled at the E3 event, it was confirmed that the game would appear at the Disney's D23 Expo happening in August. With that information, some fans are hopeful that the developers would finally announce an exact release date for the title, possibly even in late 2015.
While fans wait for details from the developers, some speculated on what new things and features await them when it gets out. A renowned "Kingdom Hearts" Youtuber, TheGamersJoint, said that there is a big possibility the movie "Atlantis" could finally be set in the game as one of its new worlds.
TheGamersJoint listed the film's amazing animation and mature content as possible reasons it should be added to the game.
An article in Movie Pilot in January 2015 noted "Atlantis" as among the Disney movies to be a good addition to the game. The film used a unique animation style which developers could easily adapt to the game. It also mentioned that the villains in the movie could be a great addition to the characters of "Kingdom Hearts 3."
However, Square Enix has yet to offer any statement about the game and that includes whether Disney's "Atlantis" would be part of the upcoming project. It remains to be seen as the company unveils more details about it in the D23 event.
