The iPad Mini 4 has started to gain more and more attention globally. According to multiple online sources, this particular device is going to be the Cupertino-based company’s slimmest tablet to date.

Furthermore, Mac World has reported that the iPad Mini 4 will be out in the market by October. If these rumors pan out, then it looks like Apple users may already have access to the speculated 7.9-inch tablet with 2 GB of RAM and A9 processor.

Rumor has it that the device was actually supposed to be unveiled at the “Spring Forward” event, as indicated in report from Latinos Post. Sadly, it was not revealed there, and the Apple devices that were unveiled in its stead were the Retina MacBook Pro and the Apple Watch.

A series of pictures of the upcoming iPad Mini 4 have been posted on Nowhere Else by trusted tipster, OnLeaks. Apart from the photos, there were also videos that showcase the casing of the unit.

Despite all the hype, The Latino Post stated that the iPad Mini 4 will only be a refreshed version of the iPad Mini 3. That said, it is worth noting that the iPad Mini 3 was highly criticized shortly after it was launched into the market, according to Business Insider.

The main gist of the iPad Mini 3’s negative critique was that the iPad Air 2 turned out to be a much faster device, and it was also much slimmer. Plus, the iPad Air 2 came with a Touch ID fingerprint sensor, which has made the device even more secure to use. The sensor reportedly supports Apple Pay, which is a huge plus for users who love to shop online.

The iPad Mini 3, on the other hand, might have come with a fingerprint sensor, but its other features were pretty much the same with its predecessor unit, the iPad Mini 2. This compelled critics to blast the device for having no added value to its buyer, according to The International Business Times.

Apple tablet users have become excited upon coming across reports that the iPad Mini 4 will be a renewed version of the heavily-criticized iPad Mini 3. With regards to the price, it has also been reported that the former will be attached to a much more affordable price tag, as compared to the latter unit.
