Warner Bros. Record Producer Rob Cavallo Gives up Hidden Hills Mansion for $6M

Warner Bros. Chairman and highly-successful record producer Rob Cavallo has let go of his Hidden Hills mansion for $6 million, raking in a $250K profit, reports Los Angeles Times.

The Mediterranean-style home covering more than 10,500 sq.ft. of living area and sitting on more than 1 acre of land has six bedrooms and six full baths, adds the outlet.

The two-story Hidden Hils mansion boasts a double staircase, soaring ceilings and six-car garage, notes the outlet. The home is fit for the enjoyment of the whole family as it features a home theater, wine room, game room and a gym.

Outside, there's an outdoor living room and kitchen and a wonderful courtyard with a fountain. New owners will definitely enjoy swimming in the pool that comes with a water slide and spa. The home also served as the venue to Dave Matthews Band benefit concert in 2010, says LA Times.

The recent sale was reportedly brokered by Jordan Cohen of Re/Max Olsen & Associates and Joshua Altman of Douglas Elliman, with Marc Shevin of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties representing the buyer.

In 1998, Cavallo joined Hollywood Records as senior vice-president of A&R and in 1999, he worked with Phil Collins on the Disney animated movie, "Tarzan," notes Bloomberg. The theme song of the said movie, "You'll Be in My Heart," received accolades such as an Oscar, a Grammy and a Golden Globe for best original song.

Cavallo also received Grammys for producing work with Green Day, such as "Best Rock Album" for "American Idiot" (2004) and "Record of the Year" for "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" (2005), adds Bloomberg.

Green Day, composed of Tré Cool, Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Jason White, didn't forget about Cavallo when they accepted an award in the recent Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, reports RollingStone.

Billie Joe thanked Cavallo in his speech, saying, "But most of all, I have to thank Rob Cavallo. We've only worked with two producers in our entire career, and Butch Vig did one record, so thank you, Butch. Rob, he did all of them. So thank you so much, and I really feel like you're a brother. We're kindred spirits in the fact that we can sit around and play songs all day long together, and to speak in that language I just love to talk about it with you. And we'll talk about it later. Thank you, Rob."

Aside from Green Day, Cavallo a music-lover himself, was also instrumental to the success of Kid Rock, Goo Goo Dolls, David Cook, and Paramore, notes All Music.
