Pictionary Inventor, Rob Angel, Lists Mercer Island Mansion for $8.2M

Robert Angel, the genius behind the creation of one of the world’s most famous board games, Pictionary, has just placed his Mercer Island property on sale for $8,188,660. It is a 6,350-square-foot mansion with a picturesque view of the lake.

It is a two-storey property with five bedrooms, five bathrooms, and a gorgeous claw footed master suite tub made of porcelain material that faces the Western coast of the island, which is a six-square-mile portion of land situated right at the middle of Seattle and Bellevue and is surrounded by the waters of Lake Washington.

It also has an office with a fantastic view of the lake for whenever potential clients may need privacy for their work. Moreover, those who are into a lot of sports can use the green-and-blue tennis court which can easily be converted into a basketball court.

To further showcase the beautiful scenery, the house has massive high windows for an unobstructed view of the blue waters as well as the downtown skyline of Seattle at night. The house sports two covered patios, one of which is pretty near the lake shore.

Potential owners who love the outdoors will absolutely adore the patio with its own brick grilling station and huge television. Boat lovers will also enjoy since the property has its own boat dock. Owners can easily sail further into the calm waters of the lake.

One of the windows in the dining hall has a towering effect because of the huge arc of its curve, and it entirely makes up one of the walls in the room. It has an amazing kitchen with a massive, marble-topped center island that features half a dozen burner stoves. Plus, it houses a huge refrigerator and appliances made of stainless steel.

Right next to the hearthside family room is a private window nook and a breakfast bar that could serve as the perfect setting for casual dining.

Upon entry into this wonderful mansion, guests are met with huge double doors that open to two identical staircases and banisters. The symmetry of the architecture and design gives the grand staircase a very striking mirror-like effect.

Angel had first risen to fame in the early 1980’s after he came up with a highly unique and interesting game that spurred billions of scribbles. According to Realtor, he was only a waiter at a time when he was first recognized for the game he created.

He first purchased this Mercer Island property in 1988, only several years after he rose financially from waiting tables for $960,000, as stated in Curbed. The mansion was only finished completely a year after the date of purchase.
